Our Core Beliefs

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of The Church of Salvation based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God

The creator who loves us with an everlasting love. He is not like us who are constantly changing our minds or saying things with no actions, no, what He says He means and does. He is so caring that when we ask for forgiveness, he won’t remember them anymore.

Genesis 1:1, Jeremiah 31:3, Numbers 23:19, Isaiah 55:11, Hebrews 8:12

JESUS

The Word of God became a human born of a virgin mother and walked the earth. He is the second person of the Trinity, He is the Son of God and the Prince of Peace, who lived a sinless life and died for our sins. He rose again on the 3rd day and took away the sting of death that we might have eternal life.

John 1:14, John 10:30, Isaiah 9:6, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5, 1 Corinthians 15:4, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, John 3:16

The Holy Spirit

The third part of the Holy Trinity which after the death and resurrection were sent down by Jesus. It is a power that will allow you to be a witness of Him. Having the Holy Spirit is a transformative experience that will change your life.

Acts 1:8, 2 Corinthians 5-16

Baptism

The outward expression of your faith. It’s the act of being dipped in the water as Jesus did. When we go down in the water, we go down as the old person and come up as a new person beginning our walk with Christ.

John 3:13-17, Romans 6:1-6

Speaking in Tongues

The act of speaking in an unknown language. It is also called the Baptism of the Spirit and is evidence you have the third part of the Trinity. You cannot enter into heaven without it. We are following what Jesus said to have.

Acts 2:4, Acts 19:6, Acts 10:44-48, John 3:5, Mark 16:17

The Bible

It is for our learning, encouragement, knowing when we are right, knowing when we are wrong, and for training for righteousness. It was and is inspired by God, it is always effective. It is living and active.

Romans 15:4,  Hebrews 4:12-13

Salvation

Deliverance from the harmful effects of hell. Asking for forgiveness, being baptized in water, receiving the Holy Spirit, and living accordingly, is the only way we to receive salvation.

Acts 2:38

The church

It is about coming together to encourage one another towards good deeds and love. To hear the word of God and to worship God. It is the place where we are gathered in the name of Jesus and an increase in spiritual growth.

Hebrews 10:24-25, Colossians 3:16, Matthew 18:20, Ephesians 4:11-13
